All solid woods with Mahogany back, sides, and neck with a Sitka Spruce top, these 18.1" scale instruments are tuned D-D, almost an octave higher than a standard guitar. With a capo on the second fret, you are at a full octave above and all the familiar fingerings work. Great for solo playing and accompanying other insrtuments and voices. The Gryphon is tuned in unison pairs to produce a natural chorus and the high tuned sparkle that define these instruments. Onboard electronics offer full acoustic sound and are extremely transparent, with volume and tone controls easily accessible inside sound hole.

Cost is $1195 for Tobacco Burst or Natural, $1229 for Black (with Rosewood binding).  Avante Gryphons come with a soft case and a one-year warranty. .
